How Drone Inspection Works
From first call to final report in as little as 48 hours. No scaffolding, no disruption, no guesswork. Here is exactly what happens when you work with AERIALLY.AI.
Step by Step
Six Steps to Complete Building Intelligence
Initial Consultation
Contact us by phone, email, or form. Tell us about your building -- address, number of stories, age, and what prompted the inspection (SB-4D deadline, storm damage, pre-purchase due diligence, etc.). We provide a custom quote — 1-hour average response time. Free, no obligation.

Site Assessment & Flight Planning
Our team reviews your building specifications, studies satellite imagery, checks FAA airspace classification, and files any required flight authorizations (LAANC for controlled airspace). We create a detailed flight plan ensuring complete facade coverage with optimal sensor angles.

Drone Inspection Flight
FAA Part 107 certified pilots deploy commercial-grade drones equipped with high-resolution visual cameras (up to 50MP) and FLIR thermal sensors. The drone systematically scans every facade, roof section, and accessible structural element. Flight duration: 4-8 hours depending on building size.
AI Analysis & Processing
Every captured image is fed through our machine learning pipeline. The AI detects and classifies up to 20 defect types -- cracks, hairline cracks, spalling, corrosion, efflorescence, sealant failure, water intrusion indicators, and more. Each defect is GPS-referenced with severity scoring and calculated square footage.
Report Delivery
A Professional Engineer reviews all findings and certifies the final report. Delivered promptly after the flight. The report includes annotated imagery, defect maps, severity scoring, repair priority recommendations, cost estimates, and printable orthomosaics for scope-of-work documentation.
Follow-up & Monitoring
We walk through every finding with your team -- building managers, engineers, board members. We answer questions, explain severity levels, and help prioritize repairs. For ongoing protection, we offer quarterly, semi-annual, and annual inspection programs that track condition changes over time.

FAQ
Process Questions
How long does the drone flight take?
Flight duration depends on building size. A typical 10-20 story building takes 4-8 hours for complete coverage. Multi-building complexes may take 1-2 days. We schedule flights to minimize any impact on building operations.
Do residents need to be notified or relocated?
No. The drone operates entirely from outside the building. There is no scaffolding, no restricted access, and no noise inside the building. Residents can go about their day normally.
What happens if the weather is bad on inspection day?
We monitor weather conditions closely. If wind speed exceeds safe thresholds or rain is forecast, we reschedule at no additional cost. Safety is never compromised for scheduling convenience.
What format are the reports delivered in?
Reports are delivered as professionally formatted PDFs with high-resolution imagery, defect annotations, GPS coordinates, and severity scoring. We also provide Excel/CSV exports of defect data and printable orthomosaic maps. All reports carry PE certification.
Can I use the report for SB-4D compliance?
Yes. Our reports are certified by Florida-licensed Professional Engineers and meet all SB-4D milestone structural inspection requirements. They are accepted by all Florida code enforcement agencies.
