Thermal Envelope Inspection

See What the Naked Eye Cannot.

FLIR infrared drone scanning detects moisture intrusion, insulation failure, and hidden structural issues invisible to standard visual inspection. Scan 100% of the facade vs 10% by traditional methods.

The Problem

Hidden Defects Cause the Most Damage

Water intrusion, insulation gaps, and structural separation hide behind walls and underneath surfaces. By the time they become visible, the damage is extensive and expensive. Traditional tap-tests and spot checks cover only a fraction of the building.

Our Solution

Infrared Reveals Hidden Building Failures

Our FLIR-equipped drones scan entire building envelopes in hours, detecting temperature anomalies that indicate moisture, air leaks, insulation deficiencies, and concealed structural issues. No scaffolding, no lift trucks, no interior access needed.

FAQ

Thermal Questions

Have a question not answered here? Contact us or call +1 (347) 998-1464.

What can thermal imaging detect that visual inspection cannot?

Thermal cameras detect temperature differences that reveal moisture trapped inside walls, missing insulation, air infiltration, electrical hotspots, and structural separations — all invisible to the naked eye.

Does weather affect thermal scanning?

Yes. Thermal imaging works best when there is a minimum 10°F temperature differential between interior and exterior. Early morning or evening flights typically provide the best results. We schedule accordingly.

Do you need access to the building interior?

No. Drone-mounted thermal cameras scan from outside. However, interior scans can be arranged for specific investigations.

How accurate is thermal detection of moisture?

FLIR thermal cameras detect temperature differences as small as 0.05°C, making them highly effective at identifying moisture accumulation patterns. We cross-reference thermal findings with visual observations for accurate diagnosis.

Can thermal inspection replace destructive testing?

Thermal inspection narrows down problem areas so that any necessary destructive testing is targeted rather than random. This saves significant time and repair costs.
